What is straightening and its history?
Let's start with a definition and an historical point of this technique which consists in straightening the hair. The straightening is a long-lasting transformation operation that consists in modifying the texture of curly, curly or frizzy hair in order to make it more or less straight. Straightening is not very recent; indeed, it was at the beginning of the 20th century that it appeared. At the beginning of the 1970s, straightening was democratized among men and women but also its laying technique was reduced to 5 hours, also offering the possibility of doing it at home.

Where and how to do it?
It is undeniable that straightening has become timeless and highly prized by the African and Maghreb community. You have two types of straightening depending on the type of your hair. The first treatment is said to be softer because it does not contain soda, it is dedicated to slightly curly or frizzy hair, so does not destroy scalp by burning. It is applied up to the root until it destroys the keratin present in the hair in order to straighten it, it is applied 10 to 20min then rinse and shampoo

The second treatment is stronger and therefore applies to frizzy or very curly hair. It is therefore an alkaline cream used just before a shampoo, the straightening is much more resistant (4 to 6 months) than a gentle care (1 to 2 months)
In order to avoid any disaster such as scalp burns forming crust or excessive hair loss, I recommend that you straighten your hair at a hairdresser and more precisely an Afro or Arab hairdresser who are specialized in this type of hair and are used to using high quality care reserved for the professional.
Maintain your hair after straightening
The right choice of shampoo is essential in straightening hair care. It is necessary to privilege a soft shampoo which respects the nature of the hair. a shampoo which leaves you the roots flexible and easy to handle especially when you are a few weeks away from your next straightening and very judicious and vital for your hair.

"Hydrate!!!!!!!" the word to take very seriously. you have to hydrate your hair every day with a spray or milk and especially water. Oils, creams or serums are used on top to finalize hydration within the hair fiber.
